Meet Robert (Bob) Murphy

A Harbor Country resident since 2018, Bob joined Neighbor by Neighbor after a 38-year career as the founder and managing partner of a global marketing firm based in Chicago.

Throughout his career, he partnered with numerous nonprofit organizations on a pro bono basis, helping them develop strategic initiatives, strengthen their brands, and create impactful communications.

Over the past seven years, Bob has become deeply involved in the Harbor Country community. He previously served as Board Chair of The Acorn Center for the Performing Arts and has worked closely with a variety of local organizations. These experiences have given him a strong understanding of the region, its unique character, and the challenges facing its most vulnerable residents.

Known for his strategic leadership and commitment to community impact, Bob is dedicated to expanding Neighbor by Neighbor's ability to respond to the growing needs of local families and individuals. His vision is to build a stronger, more sustainable organization that continues to provide an immediate response to neighbors facing critical needs.
